Umm, Actually... Trivia

Come play Um, Actually… Trivia @ Flip the Table!

A regular of ours, Tom, has been wanting to host Um, Actually… for some time and would love to offer the game to you to play!

If you don’t know about Um, Actually :

Um, Actually is a nerdy trivia game that covers the gamut of nerddom; movies, TV shows, video games, anime, comics, books, horror, just about anything nerds love is fair game.  The host reads off a statement about a nerdy property, and somewhere in that statement something is wrong.  It's up to the players to identify the thing that is wrong, buzz in, and correct me.  In true Jeopardy style, they must start their answers with "Um, Actually..." or they do not get the point, and another player can steal the answer from them. Each round is broken up by a Shiny question.  Shiny questions like shiny Pokémon, are basically the same, just a little bit different, a little bit rarer, and worth the same thing.

Super Squad High Demo Night
Aug

Super Squad High Demo Night

We have partnered with Nerdy Pup Games to bring you a demo night!

Nerdy Pup has released their wildly successful Kickstarter campaign for Super Squad High, a cooperative superhero strategy board game. Come check out this exciting and action-packed new game. We will be offering one lucky winner their own copy of the game (no purchase necessary to enter the drawing, winner drawn by the end of the night, do not need to be present to win).

About Super Squad High:

“a cooperative teen superhero strategy game for 1 to 4 players. A crime wave has struck the city, and only Super Squad can save the day! Fight crime, keep up your grades, and become besties or sweethearts with your classmates to learn clues and unmask the villain behind the crime wave. The twist — the villain is secretly one of your classmates!

Features:

Narrative social encounters. Chat with non-player classmates to learn their likes, fears, and feelings, then use what you know to win them over as besties or sweethearts.

Fresh take on crime fighting. Your super powers and crime fighting gear are limited. Make difficult choices between saving the city buildings and citizens, taking bruises, or running late to class. Push your limits just like classic teen heroes from the comics!

Tense, thematic gameplay. Manage your time between schoolwork, fighting crime, and forming relationships with your classmates. Every choice matters as life pulls you in multiple directions.

Heroic teamwork. Use powers and costumes to back each other up. Patrol to get the drop on crime or face danger head-on to protect your teammates.”

About Nerdy Pup Games:

Nerdy Pup Games was founded in 2016 by Michael Addison, a TOLEDO Resident! They make highly thematic games with fresh takes on pop culture. They believe that games are for everyone, and they strive to reflect their values in their designs and in collaboration with the artists, writers and other creators that work with them to build the games.
